About Monro Brake & Service

It started with my grandfather, who opened Small Cars of Bridgeport, a small Audi and Volkswagen repair business in Bridgeport over five decades ago. That shop became the foundation of our family’s work ethic and commitment to quality auto repair. As my grandfather got older, my father worked alongside him for many years, learning the business the right way — through hands-on experience, pride in the work, and treating customers fairly.

My father, a Vietnam veteran, later opened Speedy Muffler King in Bridgeport, where he operated the business for 30 years. In 2004, our family made the move to Monroe and opened Monro Brake & Service. That is where I began working alongside my father, first as a kid after school, learning the business from the ground up, and eventually helping build the shop into what it is today.

For the past 22 years, I have had the privilege of working in this business, learning not only how to repair vehicles, but how to take care of people. My father taught me that honesty must always come first. We believe customers deserve straight answers, quality workmanship, and repairs they can trust — without pressure, confusion, or unnecessary work.
